Cardiovascular Research Foundation
Registration now open for TCT 2012, Oct. 22-26 in Miami, FL
NEW YORK, NY JUNE 6, 2012 Registration is now open for TCT 2012 (Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics), the annual scientific symposium of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, which will be taking place for the first time in Miami, Florida, October 22-26, 2012. TCT is the world's premier educational meeting specializing in interventional cardiovascular medicine.
Every year, groundbreaking scientific advances in interventional cardiology presented at TCT change the way that heart disease, the leading cause of death in the United States, is viewed and treated. During the Late Breaking Trials sessions, researchers will update the clinical community and the public on the latest advances in percutaneous heart valves, as well as new therapies and medicines to treat and prevent heart attacks. These sessions will take place Wednesday, October 24 Friday, October 26.
TCT 2012 will also feature specific tracks for Cardiac Surgeons and Nurses and Technologists. TCT: An Integrated Track for Cardiac and Vascular Surgeons will provide valuable data and training on advancements in surgical and transcatheter valvular heart disease, advanced surgical techniques and technologies, percutaneous approaches, structural heart disease, aortic endografts, and aneurysm repair, in order to improve outcomes for patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Now in its 21st year, the Annual Cardiovascular Nurse and Technologist Symposium will detail new trends and cath lab procedures essential for the allied health care professional.
TCT 2012 will be presented in partnership with the American College of Cardiology (ACC). For more than 20 years, TCT has brought state-of-the-art techniques and training to interventional cardiologists around the world. Last year, TCT was held in San Francisco, where it attracted almost 12,000 attendees.
